About the Event
On International Women's Day in 2020 we were super excited to host our first free community lunch, attended by more than 70 local women. We spent an uplifting afternoon sharing not only food, but also poetry, music (and lots of life experience) making new connections and strengthening existing ones by getting to know the women that surround us every day in our local community - bringing together friends, colleagues, neighbours and complete strangers! Because of the current covid restrictions our IWD 2021 celebration has to be a little bit different, so we are pleased to invite you, the women of Exeter, to register here for a free freshly baked Devon cream tea instead!
You'll be able to collect your cream tea from one of two central collection points - one in the city centre (at the top of South Street) and the other on Prince Charles Rd (in Beacon Heath) between 1.30 and 3pm on Sunday 7th March 2021. If you are sick, shielding or housebound for any reason, please drop us an email at email@example.com (including your full address and postcode) and we will do our best to arrange a doorstep delivery for you on the same day.
"A challenged world is an alert world. Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world. From challenge comes change, so let's all choose to challenge." This quote is taken from the IWD website where you can find loads of interesting info and other ways to get involved with www.internationalwomensday.com.
Click ont he button below to RSVP now and get ready for your free freshly baked Devon cream tea on Sunday! All that's left is for us to wish you a very happy International Women's Day 2021 with the the wish that we'll be able to celabrate IWD in 2022 together again.
Lots of love from Donna, Rivka and VIcki x
